Text comparison
Compare two versions of a text to find added, removed, or changed passages.
How to use
- Place the first version in Original text and the version you want to check in Changed text.
- Click Compare texts. Keep the combined input within 40,000 characters.
- Read the comparison below: added passages are underlined and removed passages are struck through. Compare again after editing either field.
How it works
The comparison shows text changes, but it does not decide which version is correct or communicates the idea better.
An example
When comparing “Delivery on Monday” with “Delivery on Tuesday”, the difference is in the day names.
Common questions
Can I use the comparison to review an edit?
Yes. Paste the previous and new versions to check the changes and see whether anything was removed by mistake.
Can different texts have the same meaning?
Yes. Different words can preserve the meaning; a comparison does not replace reading and reviewing the content.
